The tomb of Tu Duc, the ‘poet Emperor’, is set in an elegant garden with a magnificent lake and pavilion complex. The centrepiece of the tomb is simplicity itself despite the lavish opulence of his reign.
4.Citadel
The Citadel Complex of Hue, set up by Nguyen Dynasty from 1805 to 1945, is now one amongst the relics of the Hue ancient Capital – the World Cultural Heritage, capturing much of tourists’ attention.
5.Thien Mu Pagoda
Built in 1601 between a river and a pine forest, the Thien Mu Pagoda (“Heavenly Lady Pagoda”) in Hue is one of the oldest and prettiest religious buildings in the country. Among the many interesting artifacts housed at the complex is the car that took the monk Thich Quang Duc to his self-immolation in 1963 Saigon.

The Countryside road to the bidge is very nice with local farms, rice fields, old villages. The bridge is made from precious wood and is tile-roofed . It is a house constructed above the bridge.

Our tour started with a pick up from Hue Airport, the company was very good at accommodating our needs and wants into the itinerary. We had our flights changed last minute and they were able to adjust the itinerary around that to ensure we still got to cover everything we wanted to see during the day. We were met by our driver and we took a 4WD Toyota which was great, it had plenty of room for the four of us and our luggage. The car also had wifi, which was a nice touch to be able to contact family etc. The driver was very friendly and spoke to us all the way. We visited several sites including the citidel, Tomb of Minh Mang, imperial city, Thien Mu Pagoda and the perfume river. The day was very well planned to squeeze in as much sightseeing as possible as we only had one day in Hue. We would have never been able to cover the amount of places we went in one day without our driver so thank you very much

This year we visited Vietnam for the first time, we organised for Huecarrental to pick us up at the airport and show us around the area. I would like to thank Huecarrental and our fantastic driver Hai for the best experience we could have asked for. The driver spoke excellent English and went far and beyond to make us feel welcome and show us the best places in and around Hue. It was by far the best part of our trip, the car was a very modern clean and always clean and tidy with fresh water to drink every day. We not only visited the tourist areas but our driver then showed us other cultural areas you would not normally see including taking us to a coffee shop for traditional Vietnamese coffee which was fantastic. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone visiting Hue and again thank them for their kindness and helpfulness and will be coming back and using this company again.

The daily tour of an ancient city of Hue was one of the highlights of our three weeks visit to Vietnam. Perfectly organised, the guide was fluent in English, didn’t overwhelm us with too many details, just right. The group was 8 people, not too much not too little. The set up menu lunch was excellent and actually one of the best dishes we enjoyed during our trip.
We also used the company for private transfers between Hue and Hoi An, and Hoi An to Da Nang airport. Very punctual and reliable.
